Death Benefit Plus is a new offering from Irish Credit Unions own Insurance company ECCU

The death of a loved one can cause huge upheaval in our lives. As well as the loss and grief, the financial implications for our nearest and dearest can also be difficult to manage. Bishopstown Credit Union is introducing Death Benefit Plus which is a whole of life insurance policy. This new insurance policy can provide guaranteed lump sum on death for a small monthly premium.

This insurance is provided by Irish Credit Union’s own Insurance Company ECCU.

Who is Eligible for DB Plus?

  • You are resident and living in the Republic of Ireland and,
  • Over 18 and under 80 years of age and,
  • you hold an account with an Irish based financial institution (e.g. a Credit Union) that allows payments by direct debit.

You will not be asked any medical questions and are guaranteed to be accepted for cover under this policy.

Bishopstown Credit Union offer a death benefit insurance product, Death Benefit Plus. This product replaced the group death benefit scheme that was in place previously. The previous group death benefit scheme ceased on the 31 March 2022.
